ACADEMIC SESSION

The Academic session is from April to March which comprises four Internal Assessment tests. In addition to the scholastic areas our academic session includes Life Skills, Aptitudes and Values, Participation and Achievement in activities involving Literary and Creative Skills.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The Admission form is available from the school office and can be collected from Monday to Saturday between 9 a.m and 3 p.m . The completed form should be submitted along with the following documents.

Copy of the community certificate
1 passport size photo
Copy of Aadhar Card
Transfer Certificate with EMIS’s number from the previous school
Copy of last progress report card from the previous school
Originals of the above to be produced at the time of verification.

Children from and above the age of 3 years will be admitted to L.K.G. For admission to 1st standard children should have completed 5 years of age.

Admission will be made on satisfactory performance in academic and personal discussion which will be held in the following subjects.

NOTE TO PARENTS

Computer education has been introduced from I std. onwards.
Parents (father or mother) who want to admit their child / children should possess minimum (X std.) qualification and submit the xerox copies of the same at the time of submitting the application.
Fees will be collected for the whole academic year and no part of it will be returned on any account. Those who want Transfer Certificate in the middle of the year should pay fees for the whole academic year and only on such payment T.C. will be issued.

About us

Prince Matriculation Higher Secondary Schools, the pride of Nanganallur and Madipakkam, had its humble origin 40 years ago, in 1978. Quality in education and discipline in the institutions were adhered right from the beginning. With the steady support of the parents and strenuous, whole hearted efforts and co-operation of the teachers, both the institutions have grown to great heights to become the most renowned institutions in this part of Chennai. Today Nanganallur school has 1278 students whereas Madipakkam School has 2180 students. To cater to the growing needs of the ever increasing students, three buildings have been constructed at Nanganallur and four at Madipakkam. Well planned and fully equipped laboratories and computer centres are available at Nanganallur and Madipakkam schools. English is the medium of instruction in the schools. Tamil, Hindi and Sanskrit are taught as languages. Both the schools have nearly 320 teachers, majority of them being trained graduates and Post graduates.

Both the schools have the special privilege of achieving cent percent first class results in the X and XII Std Public Examinations. More than 500 of our students passing out every year have the privilege of receiving Education Ministers’ appreciation certificates for their achievements in academics.

Our students have brought laurels to our schools by securing ranks in the District and State levels in X and XII Std Public Examinations.

In order to provide educational facilities for poor children we started Shri Venkateshwara Higher Secondary School, a Tamil Medium school in 1990 at Madipakkam. It has grown in strength and has proved its mettle by securing cent percent pass in X and XII Std. Public Examinations.

With a view to provide avenues for higher studies to our school students, Prince Shri Venkateshwara Arts and Science College was started at Gowrivakkam with under graduate courses in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Computer Science, Electronic Science, Biotechnology, B.C.A and B.Com., and Post Graduate courses in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Information Technology.

To enable the students to have the same standard of education in Professional courses also, Prince Shri Venkateshwara Padmavathy Engineering College was started in the academic year 2000 – 2001 at Ponmar, Chennai – 600 127 and Prince Dr.K.Vasudevan College of Engineering and Technology, Ponmar, Chennai – 600 127 during the year 2009 – 10. These colleges offer B.E., Courses in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electricals and Electronics, B.Tech, Information Technology, Mechanical, Civil, Master of Computer Applications and Master of Business Administration.

With the view of meeting the growing demands of C.B.S.E., stream and fulfilling the request of parents enabling their wards to enter into professional and I.I.T. courses, we started Prince Srivari Vidyalaya, Madipakkam in the year 2012, affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and Prince Srivari Vidyalaya, Nanganallur in the year 2013 and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

We accolade the students for their new innovations to encourage them. To get out the best in the students, our faculty strives hard to bring out their hidden talents. We even expose the student to outside world in the form of participation in completion, seminars, workshops and industrial visits.

OUR EFFORTS

To honour the students securing State and District Ranks, the Management has incepted Cash Awards of Rs.10,000/- and Rs.3000/- each.

With a view of encouraging Students to excel in the X and XII Std. Public Examinations in the school level, the Management awards cash prizes of Rs.5000/-, Rs.3000 /- and Rs.2000/- to First, Second and Third Rank Students every year, and also as a mark of motivation, Proficiency prizes are distributed to the first three rank holders from L.K.G to XII Std. As a part of extracurricular activities, Sports, Essay and Oratorical Competitions are held every year and prizes are awarded to the first three winners.

To bring out the innovative talents and to encourage creativity among our students, Science, Arts and Crafts exhibitions were held in the Nanganallur School premises on Eleven occasions. These exhibitions were well attended and appreciated by the visitors.

The school magazine is being brought out at regular intervals, in order to tap the innate talents of our students. Our efforts have earned the appreciation from one and all.
